Twenty Years of Service Electric utilities have been using Enterprise for Education materials since 1979. Through them, they have reached millions of K-12 students, who have learned about the sources and uses of energy, electric safety, energy efficiency and other topics. Teaching, not Telling Enterprise materials are teaching units that support widely-held curricular goals, not just informative brochures. Tested before Publication; Widely Accepted after Publication Enterprise publications make use of up-to-date teaching techniques and feature extensive use of hands-on, minds-on activities. They are classroom tested before publication. Year after year, dozens of the nation's leading electric utilities have given these engaging, colorful, curriculum-based publications to students, always in response to requests from teachers or school districts. Government agencies and non-utility Fortune 500 corporations have also chosen to sponsor Enterprise's educational materials. Materials Reach Homes Most teachers let students take their copies home, to keep. Parents discover what their children are doing in school, and that the local utility is supporting their child's education. Customized Many sponsors have us imprint their logos and messages on the material. Complete All publications come with Teacher's Guides. Supplies are included, or are optionally available in kits, for the science activities described in the students' booklets. |

"...It is easy to summarize my analysis: the materials are the best I have ever seen on the subject. They are superb...comprehensive...substantive...educationally sound...exciting...and they offer the most balanced approach to the study of energy that I have yet to see in the volumes of energy curricula that I have studied over the past decade." --- Allen Schmeider, U.S. Department of Education's Energy and Environmental Education Specialist "The materials are rich with meaningful teaching aids and suggestions for instruction." --- Robert E. Yager, Instructor Magazine "Your materials effectively teach important safety and electrical concepts, while they help teachers to achieve state and district-mandated instructional objectives. Our teachers love your materials, and the many highly appreciative letters we receive from them confirm this." --- James E. Beasley, Program Manager, Educational Relations, Southern California Edison |
